Sox Score Late, Beat O’s
The Boston Red Sox have made a living coming from behind to win games this season and Wednesday was no exception in a 4-3 victory over Baltimore.Trailing by a 3-1 score in the bottom of the 7th inning Dustin Pedroia singled to left field scoring two runs and tying the game. The Sox would take the lead in the 8th inning when Mike Carp came to the plate to pinch hit for Xander Bogaerts and looped a base hit into shallow left field that plated Jarrod Saltalamacchia with the go-ahead run.
John Lackey pitched another solid game but got a no-decision. Craig Breslow got the win in relief while Koji Uehara closed out the game for his 14th save.
The Red Sox will go for the sweep Thursday as Jon Lester faces 14 game winner Chris Tillman.
