It took extra innings, but the Sox took the first game of the three game set north of the border versus the Toronto Blue Jays by a score of 7-4.

Xander Bogaerts drove the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th inning before Deven Marrero plated two more insurance runs for the Sox in the win,  Blaine Boyer received the win with two scoreless relief innings.  Craig Kimbrel picked up his 23rd save of the season.

With the win the Sox are now 45-35 on the season and still find themselves with a one game lead in the division over the Yankees.  The two teams will face each other again on Canada Day from Toronto starting at 1:07 p.m.
