Sox Vs Rays: The Preview

It's almost hard to believe that when the Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays meet for the first time Tuesday it will be a battle of the bottom two teams in the AL East, but that is the case.

John Lackey will start for the Sox. He is coming off an 11 strikeout performance against the Yankees. Lackey is 3-2 with a 4.22 ERA.

Lefty Erik Bedard gets the start for Tampa Bay (0-1 7.45). The Rays have three starters on the DL - Alex Cobb, Matt Moore and Jeremy Hellickson.

The Sox will miss lefty David Price in this series.
