The Boston Red Sox play their first spring training game against a big league club today - the Minnesota Twins. The Sox swept through the Northeastern Huskies and Boston College Eagles in Ft Myers on Thursday.

Several of the Sox young arms got a chance to show their stuff. Brandon Workman and Henry Owens in game one.

Ruby De La Rosa and Matt Barnes is game two.

Catcher Christian Vazquez hit the day's only home run.

Shortstop Garin Cecchini had two hits.

In the BC game, two former Maine high school players got in the game vs the Sox. Joe Cronin (Scarborough HS) started at shortstop for the Eagles. Nick Colucci (Deering HS) started in leftfield for BC.
