Bangor favorite son Jesse Speirs struggled on the final day of the Greater Bangor Open but his best friend Jon McLean didn't. He fired a 5-under 64 to win the GBO by one shot over Braden Shattuck.

McLean was Texas Christian University teammate of Speirs. He finished with a total score of 197 and collected the $9,000 first place prize.

Shattuck was playing two groups ahead of McLean when he posted his 198 total. He also shot a final round 64.

Speirs struggled all day, shooting a 4-over 73 and his 204 total left him in a tie for 10th place.
