Spencer-Thompson Earns All-American Status

Mattanawcook Academy triple jumper Cayden Spencer-Thompson broke his own state record and earned All-American status at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York.

Many of the best high school track and field from around the country take part in this yearly event.

The junior from Lincoln triple-jumped 48-10 1/4 which put him fourth best in the competition. He owned the best distance by a Mainer with a distance of 48-9 at the New England Championships.

Spencer-Thompson plays basketball and football for the Lynx, as well as competing in track.
