Mattanawcook Academy track & field standout Cayden Spencer-Thompson set a new Maine record in the triple jump. The junior jumped 48-feet 3.5-inches at the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational Meet at Harvard University over the weekend.

No Maine high schooler has ever triple jumped over 48-feet and his distance is now 5th best in the nation.

Spencer-Thompson already owns the Class C state record in the triple jump.

Along with his track & field work, Spencer-Thompson also plays on the Lynx basketball team and in the fall plays wide receiver for the M.A. football team.
