It was a day to forget down south for the UMaine Black Bear football team. A 48-17 pounding at the hands of the Richmond Spiders. The Bears fall to 1-3, 1-1 CAA.

Richmond QB Kyle Lauletta threw for a career high 311 yards and 4 TDs.

The Spiders racked up 484 total yards and outscored Maine 28-7 in the second half.

For the Bears, QB Dan Collins was 16-for-31, 154 yards, one TD and one interception. Nigel Beckford was the top rusher with 75 yards.

#19 Richmond moves to 3-1 overall, 1-0 CAA.

Maine is back on the road next week - at Albany for another CAA matchup.
