Strong Play Leads To Weekly Awards

UMaine's Liz Wood and Husson's Mitch Worcester have received weekly awards from their respective conferences following last weeks play.Wood is the America East Player of the Week after leading the Bears to a pair of wins. In those games she averaged 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists per game. This is the second straight week Wood has won the award.

Husson men's player Mitch Worcester is the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week after averaging 11 points a game in the Eagles wins over Thomas College and Maine Maritime.

Worcester and the Eagles host Green Mountain College and Castleton State this weekend. You can hear the game against Castleton Saturday at 3pm following the women's game which tips off at 1pm on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
