The UMaine baseball team had plenty of reasons to celebrate on Saturday. It was senior day, graduation day and they completed a weekend sweep of Binghamton with a 9-0 shutout.Kevin Stypulkowski continued his hot weekend at the plate with 2 hits, both home runs and 3 rbi. For the weekend he collected 5 hits, 6 rbi and scored 4 runs. Shane Bussey added 3 hits to the Bears attack and drove in a run while Steven Adam knocked in 2 runs.

Jacob Gosselin-Deschesnes scattered 8 hits over 8.2 innings to pick up his third win of the season.

Maine is now 22-24 on the season and 8-9 in conference play. The three win sweep also improves their playoff hopes as the Bears currently hold the third spot as four teams will make the tournament.

Maine will step out of conference for a game at Boston College on Tuesday before closing out the regular season at Albany next weekend.
