UMaine sophomore goalie Jeremy Swayman stopped 113 shots last week as the Black Bears went 1-1-1 and that's emough to earn him Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week.

It's his third Defensive POW honor this season.

Swayman stopped a season-high 53 in Saturday night's win over #3 UMass.

He had 38 saves Friday night and had 22 in a tie with UNH earlier in the week.

In HE conference games, Swayman has seen more shots than any other goalie (489) and his .928 save % is second best in the league.
