TB Swept, Bishop Had Elbow Issue
Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop’s injury was a dislocated elbow. That’s the report out of Tampa after the Lightning were eliminated from the NHL playoff last night. Bishop did not play in any of the four game against Montreal.
TSN in Canada is reporting that ‘upper body’ injury the team kept talking about was a dislocated elbow and that he might have been able to play if the series had gotten to a game 6 or 7. The Canadiens swept TB with Bishop backup Andres Lindback struggling throughout the series.
Bishop, the former UMaine Black Bear, won 37 games for Tampa Bay in his best season as a pro. He suffered the injury during a game against Toronto in the last week of the season.
