Don't look now but the Red Sox are just 4-5 in their last 9 games. During that stretch the Sox offense has averaged just three runs per game. Last night, a 6-2 loss to Tampa Bay.

Ryan Dempster struggled on the mound in the first inning, giving up a homer to Desmond Jennings. He then settled down finishing six innings with allowing three runs. the bullpen gave up the other three runs.

On offense, there was nothing happening. Mike Napoli was 0-4 and is really struggling. Salty struck out 3 times. The Sox had just 7 hits.

Now it doesn't get any easier - it is on to Detroit for a four game series starting tonight.
