The Road To Omaha Starts This Weekend

It may be just the middle of March but Maine baseball team begins America East Conference play this weekend - on the road against Stony Brook on Long Island, NY.

It is one ot the earliest starts ever for conference play, three games against the defending league champs. In fact, not only did the Seawolves win America East last year, they made it all the way to the College World Series in Omaha.

To date, Maine has a 9-10 record playing games in Alabama and Florida. Stony Brook is 4-10 against some heavy duty competition down south.

The pre-season coaches poll picked the Seawolves to win the conference and Maine was picked to finish second.
