And the injuries keep coming to the Boston Celtics. This time it is rookie Daniel Theis and it looks like he is done for the season.

Theis suffered a knee-to-knee hit late in the loss to Indiana last night. It was not considered serious at the time but now the team is saying that the injury is a torn meniscus and he is likely out for the season.

Theis, a 6-foot-9 forward/center, has been a big help for the C's. He is averaging 5 PPG and 4 RPG in 63 games off the bench.

Already the Celtics are dealing with Kyrie Irving's sore knee, Al Horford has been told to stay home with sickness, Jaylen Brown is out with a concussion and Gordon Hayward remains out with that knee injury.

The Celtics next game is Wednesday night vs Washington. The game is live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket with coverage beginning at 7:30pm.

NOTE: The Celtics also have announced that guard Marcus Smart has a tendon injury on his right thumb. The team is still trying to determine the extent of the injury.
