The 2013 Open Championship — Second Round

Golfers descend on Scotland to vie for the season's third major championship, also called the British Open. Zach Johnson led the field on Thursday. Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Brandt Snedeker are each expected to contend for the title.

Pittsburgh Pirates at Cincinnati Reds

Two National League Central rivals clash as the second-place Pittsburgh Pirates (56-37) visit the third-place Cincinnati Reds (53-42). A.J. Burnett (4-6, 3.06) gets the start for the Pirates, while Mat Latos (8-3, 3.53) is on the mound for the Reds.

The 2013 Open Championship — Final Round

Golfers compete in the final round of the Open Championship. Defending champion Ernie Els won his first British Open at Muirfield in 2002.

2013 Tour de France

France; 12 p.m. (ET) on NBC Sports Network
After Thursday's 18th stage of the Tour de France, Christopher Froome was more than five minutes ahead of two-time Tour champion Alberto Contador. Froome will be favored to claim the title on Sunday as the racers finish on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

2013 Gold Cup Quarterfinals — United States vs. El Salvador

M&T Bank Field; Baltimore; 4 p.m. (ET) on Fox Soccer
The United States takes on El Salavdor in the knockout round of the Gold Cup. The winner will face the winner of the Honduras-Costa Rica match in the semifinals on Wednesday in Texas.

New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox

Fenway Park, Boston; 8:05 p.m. (ET) on ESPN
The New York Yankees (51-44) wrap up a three-game series on Sunday night against their archrivals, the Boston Red Sox (58-39). Staff ace C.C. Sabathia (9-8, 4.07) will start for the Yankees, while Jon Lester (8-6, 4.58) takes the mound for the first-place Red Sox.
