Thomas 1st, Husson 5th In NAC Men’s Soccer Poll
The Thomas College Terriers have been selected as the preseason favorites in the North Atlantic Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Monday morning.
The Terriers won the league a year ago and have been nabbed as the favorite heading into the season. Thomas received 95 points in the poll and seven of the ten first place votes. The Terriers beat Castleton 2-2 in the NAC Championship and advanced on penalties to the NCAA tournament.
Castleton, New England College, Colby-Sawyer, and Husson were picked from two to five in that respective order in the poll.
The Husson Eagles will have their first campaign under Head Coach Gavin Penny, who was an assistant coach for the team prior. The Eagles return Josh Bean from Ellsworth and will be looking for the fourth championship in program history.
The season will begin on Thursday with four NAC teams in action.
