Mattanawcook Academy golfer Logan Thompson set Maine schoolboy golf history today when he won his fourth straight Class C State Individual Golf Championship at Natanis GC in Vassalboro.

No schoolboy golfer, regardless of class, has won as a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior.

And, Thompson did it in style, shooting a 6-under par 66.

Camden Hills junior Cole Anderson tied for the Class A title with Anthony  Burnham from Scarborough. Both shot 2-under par 70. Anderson has a chance to win four straight next year. He won Class A as a freshman and sophomore before Saturday's co-championship. Anderson played in the U.S. Amateur Championship in California in July.

Austin Legge from Cape Elizabeth HS won the Class B title. The schoolgirl title goes to Elizabeth Lacognata of Scarborough.
