Thousands of people lined the streets of Downtown Bangor Saturday evening for the city's annual Festival of Lights Parade and tree lighting in West Market Square.

Illuminated floats from local businesses, churches and organizations passed the crowds, who lined up several people deep along the parade route. Local bands and dance troupes also entertained the crowds.

After the parade, people gathered at West Market Square, where the Santa Claus himself lit the city's Christmas tree.
