Coming off his best start of the season John Lackey couldn't keep the Tigers at bay in a 6-1 loss.Lackey allowed six runs on nine hits while not making it out if the 6th inning. The loss drops his record to 5-3 on the season.

The Red Sox offense wasn't much better, only managing to get seven hits in the game. Mike Napoli had three of those hits, Xander Bogaerts had two including his first Fenway Park homerun.

The two teams close out the series tonight with Jake Peavy taking on Anibal Sanchez.
