The No. 1 Fort Fairfield Tigers held off the Calais Blue Devils Tuesday night in the last quarterfinal of the night at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

The Blue Devils (12-7)  kept it close throughout the game, but the Tigers (18-1) proved too much for the 8-seed, holding on for a 40-37 win.

Calais, down by 3 points, had the ball with 6.9 seconds left, but Fort Fairfield's Chelsey Pelkey picked off a pass to seal the victory.

Pelkey led the Tigers with 17 points. Taylor Churchill added 11 points.

For the Blue Devils, freshman Sydney Farrar had 13 points. Senior Logan Huckins had 10 points in the loss.
