The Red Sox jumped out to a 3-0 lead only to see the Cleveland Indians play long ball and come back to beat the Sox 5-4 in game one of the big four game series.

Xander Bogaerts and Andrew Benintendi drove in the first three runs in the first two innings off Corey Kluber but then Kluber settled in.

Meanwhile, Rick Porcello was dealing for the first four innings.

Then a fifth inning homer by Melkey Cabrera. A sixth inning homer by Michael Brantley and then a seventh inning homer by Greg Allen. Cleveland had a 5-3 lead.

The Sox rallied in the ninth, scoring one run but leaving the tying run at second base.

Kluber got the win, Porcello took the loss.
