Former UMaine baseball coach Steve Trimper and his (45-11) Stetson University team sets program history by hosting a NCAA Regional for the first time ever. And, the opponent in the first round will be none other than America East Conference champ Hartford.

Trimper left Orono two years ago to coach the Hatters program in Florida.

The Hawks left Orono Saturday after winning their first ever AE title. Mahaney Diamond was the host site.

Here's the Deland Regional field of teams...

2. South Florida (AAC) (35-20-1)

3. Oklahoma State (Big 12) (29-24-1)

4. Hartford (America East) (26-29)

NOTE: The double elimination regional tournament begins Friday. The winner advances to a Super Regional, which is a best-of-three series with another regional winner. The Super Regional winner advances to the College World Series in Omaha.
