The Boston Red Sox will be sending at least three players to the 2017 All-Star game in Miami next Tuesday night after the rosters in both theAmerican and National Leagues were announced.

After having four starters in the line-up last year, Boston will have just one this time around as Chris Sale will get the nod to begin the game on the mound.  Other players selected include outfielder Mookie Betts and Craig Kimbrel.

Betts is appearing in his second all-star game, putting up a .286 batting average with 15 home runs, 15 stolen bases, and 51 RBI.  For Kimbrel it will be his seventh time going to the game and he has sported a 2-0 record with a 1.01 ERA, while recording 23 saves for the Red Sox.

Xander Bogaerts will see if he may still be able to make the squad.  he is eligible for the Final Vote as the fans decide who will make the last player on the roster.  Voting is open now for Bogaerts on MLB.com

The game will take place on July 11th from Marlins Park in Miami.
