The UMaine Black Bears stormed out of the gate and scored a touchdown on their first possession of the game, that seemed to ignited Tulane who rolled past the Bears 38-7.The Green Wave racked up 497 yards of total offense with 292 coming in the air and averaged nearly 7 yards per play. Green Wave running back Dontrell Hilliard rushed for 117 yards ad 2 touchdowns while quarterback Tanner Lee threw for 271 yards and a touchdown.

UMaine quarterback Dan Collins got the Bears on the board with a 5 yard touchdown run on the opening possession of the game but struggled to move the ball from that point on. Collins was replaced by sophomore Drew Belcher in the second half after suffering a hand injury. Belcher completed 7 of 13 passes for 71 yards and carried the ball 6 times for 26 yards.

Maine drops to 0-2 with the loss and have been outscored 62-10 against FBS opponents Boston College and Tulane. They begin conference play on Saturday when they play their home opener against Rhode Island Saturday at 3:30pm.
