Bruins Coach Bruce Cassidy said goalie Tuukka Rask, who was granted a leave of absence on Friday, could return to the team on Tuesday.

When Rask left the team, the Bruins released a one-sentence statement, saying the veteran goaltender was “granted a leave of absence relating to a personal matter.”

Speaking to the media on Sunday, Cassidy said Rask could return in time for the start of the Bruins' next road trip.

The Bruins will take on Colorado on Wednesday, the start of a four-game road trip that also includes visits to Dallas, Arizona and Detroit.

Rask has struggled this season, going 4-4-0 with a 3.05 GAA and .901 save percentage. He allowed three goals on 14 shots in Thursday's 8-5 loss to Vancouver, his final appearance before taking his leave of absence.

Jaroslav Halak started for the Bruins on Saturday, making 40 saves in a 5-1 triumph over the Maples Leafs at TD Garden.
