The Boston Red Sox have now lost two straight games as the team fell to the Tampa Bay Rays by a score of 4-1.

Chris Sale was looking for his 12th win of the season before the All-Star break, but instead picked up his fourth loss, giving up four earned runs in seven innings, while striking out 12 and allowing two home runs.  Peter Bourjos and Wilson Ramos both took Sale deep in the contest.

Deven Marrero notched the only RBI for the Sox after he came into the game after Xander Bogearts left the contest with an injury.

Boston is now 49-37 on the season, up 3.5 games on the idle New York Yankees.  They will face the Rays again tonight for the second of four with Drew Pomeranz set to face Jake Odorizzi on the hill.
