Koji Uehara is heading to the disabled list after suffering an injury to his pectoral muscle on Tuesday night.

The Red Sox recalled Noe Ramirez from Triple A Pawtucket to replace the right handed pitcher in the bullpen.  Uehara left the contest in the ninth inning of a contest versus San Francisco after just seven pitches.

Uehara is just one of many pitchers who are currently injured, starting with Carson Smith who underwent a Tommy John surgery earlier in the year.  Craig Kimbrel is also gone for at least another month recovering from knee surgery, and Junichi Tazawa is likely to be activated from the DL on Friday.

The Red Sox will face the Giants to conclude the two game series with Drew Pomeranz making his first start against Matt Cain.  Cain was activated from the DL for the start tonight.
