UM Men Beat MTSU In OT 89-85
The UMaine men's basketball team won its first division-one game of the season, beating Middle Tennessee State U 89-85 in overtime. The Bears are now 2-9 and will play in the championship game of the Dr. Pepper Classic Tournament Monday night.

The UMaine women's basketball team dropped a one point game at Sacred Heart 76-75. It drops the Black Bears to 6-6 while the Pioneers win for just the third time this year.
