For UMaine hockey the storyline is simple - win or season over. The Black Bears begin the Hockey East best-of-three quarterfinal round series tonight against Providence College.

Maine(16-13-4) is sitting #22 in the national PairWise rankings, the Friars(19-9-6) are #11.
