A night after scoring seven goals the UMaine hockey team got five more in a 5-1 win over American International to complete a weekend sweep. The 9-6-1 Bears got two goals from Ryan Lonborg who also had an assist. The Yellow Jackets got on the board first when they beat Dan Sullivan just 30 seconds into the game. Sullivan was making his first start of the season and finished with 18 saves as the Bears outshot AIC 44-19.  Blaine Byron tied the game up 90 seconds into the first period and a second period goal by Stu Higgins proved to be the game winner.

Maine will now enjoy a week off before heading to Florida after Christmas for the annual tournament in Estero. They will play Princeton in the first game of that Tourney.
