UMaine field hockey exploded for 12 goals Tuesday afternoon and pounded Bryant University 12-1. It is the second highest goal total in program history.

The Black Bears scored 14 goals in a game back in 1975.

Junior midfielder Libby Riedl scored three goals and had three assists to lead the way.

Ranked #24 in the nation, the Bears simply dominated Bryant, out shooting the Bulldogs 34-2. In fact, in their first three games they have outshot the opponent 72-17. Maine is 2-1 with a game at Richmond Friday afternoon next on the schedule.
