Maine football will start CAA conference play this week as the #28 in the country in the new SPORTS NETWORK poll. The Bears moved up one spot after losing to Big 10 Northwestern. There are 8 CAA teams in the to-30 in the FCS poll.

Towson is the highest ranked CAA team at #4 with a 4-0 record. UNH is ranked #10.

Maine's first matchup in conference play is against the Richmond Spiders. That Virginia team is ranked #22 with a 2-2 record.
