Homecoming was not kind for the University of Maine football team as they suffered their 4th loss of the season falling to the Yale Bulldogs 21-10.Playing in just their second home game of the season the UMaine offense struggled to put points on the board allowing the Bulldogs to wear down the Bears defense and pull away down the stretch.

After Maine took the lead on a Sean Decloux 35 yard field goal in the 3rd quarter, the Bulldogs would score two unanswered touchdowns in the 4th quarter to regain the lead and get the win.

The UMaine offense only gained 308 yard on the day and could never get the ball in the end zone after scoring early in the first quarter. They also struggled to sustain drives managing to convert just 8 of 20 third down opportunities.

The Bears drop to 2-4 with the loss which happened in front of a homecoming crowd of 7,351. Next week they step back into conference play as Stony rook comes to Orono.
