The annual UMaine football spring game, scheduled for Friday evening, has been moved up to a 4:30pm start time to beat some nasty weather that may come into the area.

The 14th annual Jeff Cole Memorial Spring Game is the last chance for fans and Black Bear coaches to see players in game situations. The regular season starts with a home game on August 30th vs New Hampshire. The schedule includes two games vs FBS teams, Western Kentucky from C-USA and Central Michigan from the MAC.

Since April 4th, the Black Bears have held three on-field sessions each week. Friday's scrimmage is the 15th and final session. Admission is free at Morse Field at Alfond Stadium.

The Jeff Cole Memorial game honors the popular assistant coach of the Bears who passed away in 2004 after a long battle with cancer.
