The UMaine men's basketball team scored its first win of the season, beating Longwood University in Virginia Sunday afternoon 80-58.

The Black Bears even their early season record at 1-1.

Leading by four points at the half, the Bears put 47 second half points on the board. Maine shot nearly 44% from the field in the second half.

The Bears had five players in double-digit scoring. Junior College transfer Ilker Er led with 16 points. Wes Myers added 15.

Maine plays at Boston University next, November 19th.
