A Daniel Perez tip-in goal in overtime gave the UMaine hockey team a 3-2 overtime win over Merrimack on senior night at Alfond Arena.

Steven Swavely and Cam Brown scored goals earlier for the Black Bears and the Bears seemed to have things in control. But, Merrimack pulled its goalie in the last two minutes of regulation and scored twice to tie the game.

The Perez goal came at 1:49 of overtime.

UM goalie Rob McGovern made 21 saves.

The Bears are 5-13-2 in Hockey East with two games left at Northeastern next weekend.(10th place tie with UConn).  Maine is 8-20-6 overall.
