UMF Celebrates Len McPhee Court

UMaine Farmington is often called 'the cradle of coaches' and this weekend they are celebrating one of the best - Len McPhee.

NBA Charlotte Hornets coach Steve Clifford, a former point guard for coach McPhee's Beavers was on hand Friday night for the dedication ceremony at Dearborn Gymnasium and the new 'Len McPhee Court'.

Clifford holds a coaching clinic today on campus.

McPhee coached and taught at UMF for 36 years. For 24 years he coached the men's basketball program to 322 teams. He coaches women's basketball and baseball at UMF.

In August, McPhee was inducted into the Maine Baskeball Hall of Fame.
