Former UMaine goalie Ben Bishop was making his first NHL All Star Game appearance and played well but when Anaheim's Corey Perry scored with about two and a half minutes to play, the Pacific Team beat the Atlantic Team 1-0 to win the million-dollar prize.

Bishop had already helped his Atlantic team win over the Metropolitan Team to get the the final.

But big John Scott waas the story of the night. Scott won the write-in vote from fans. The league tried to convince him not to come. He scores two goals during the night and ends up the All Star Game MVP.
