UM’s Courtney Named Rookie Of Week

University of Maine freshman pitcher Justin Courtney has been named America East Rookie of the Week, for the the second time in three weeks.

Courtney(Bangor HS) pitched six innings in Friday's playoff clinching win over Albany, giving up five hits and a unearned run. He picked his fifth win of the season.

For the season Courtney is 5-5 with a team leading 2.83. In AE play, he is 4-1 with a 2.13 ERA.

Coach Steve Trimper has already named him game one starter in the playoff game against UMBC on Thursday.
