The University of New Brunswick's 5-1 over UMaine last night left the Black Bears still looking for that first win of the season.

UM played at Alfond Arena in Orono for the first time, albeit an exhbition game against the Varisty Reds, but Maine continues to struggle scoring goals.

Brendan Robbins scored in the final minute of the first period to tie the game 1-1 but UNB scored the next four.

New Brunswick outshot the Bears by a 29-26 margin but the UMB kept winning the faceoff battes, 44-22.

Because it was an exhibition game, Maine's record stays at 0-2-3. It's back to countable D-1 games next Friday when the Bears travel to Trenton, New Jersey for a four team tournament. UM plays UMass in the first round.
