Union Shuts Out Maine 2-0

The Union College Dutchmen broke open a scoreless game with two third period goals and beat the UMaine Black Bears 2-0 Saturday night.

Through the first two periods UM goalie Matt Morris stopped all 22 Union shots. Jake Kupsky stopped all 14 Maine shots.

But alittle over five into into the third, Union's Sabastien Gingras scored. Ten minutes later Mike Vecchione added another goal and that was it.

Union finished the game out shooting the Bears 33-26.

Maine dips to 0-1-3 with a game at Quinnipiac Tuesday night.

Union is now 2-0-2.
