Tonight the rivalry continues between the United States and Canada on the ice rink as both teams will vie for points in the group stage of the Hockey World Cup.

The US will need to beat Canada on Tuesday night or they will be eliminated from contention.  The Americans lost to Team Europe in the opener and are endanger of missing out on the semi-finals after latter beat the Czech Republic on Monday.

US Head Coach John Tortorella called the contest the Americans' "championship game" prior to the tournament beginning and now the clash has even more on the line than just North American pride.

The Canadian roster will feature some familiar names to Boston Bruin fans with Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand on the roster, along with former Bruin Tyler Seguin.  The US roster sports David Backes, who will play for the Bruins in the fall, as well as former UMaine Black Bear Ben Bishop as a back-up goalie.

The contest between the USA and Canada will get underway at 8 p.m. this evening and you can hear the call of the game on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
