The University of Southern Maine baseball season ended this morning with a 4-1 loss to Wesleyan(Conn.) at the NCAA Regional in Harwich, Massachusetts.

After winning their first game in the regional, the Huskies lost two in a row, to Salem State and Wesleyan. USM finishes the season at 32-15.

In today's 4-1 loss, Wesleyan scored one run in the first inning and three in the seventh. USM senior Andrew Richards pitched the complete game in defeat, giving up 11 hits and striking out 11.

The offense struggled again for the Huskies, only seven hits.

USM was trying to get back to the D-3 College World Series for a third consecutive year but another team will come out of the New Engand regional this year.
