The USM Huskies will be the #2 seed for this week's Little East Conference tournament but nationally the Huskies will start postseason play as the #11 team in the country.

USM(29-11) moved up eight spots in the D3baseball.com/NCBWAA Poll.

The Huskies open LEC play Wednesday at 3:30 vs Eastern Conn St.

The #11 seed means USM stands a good chance of getting an at-large bid to the NCAA if they get tripped up in the conference tourney.

The Huskies have played in the Division III World Series eight times since 1991.
