USM Wins NCAA Regional, CWS Next

The USM Huskies are headed to the Division-3 College World Series for the second year in a row. Coach Ed Flaherty's team exploded for 9 runs in the 8th inning to defeat Endicott 11-1 in the NCAA regional title game. USM pitcher Logan Carman was named tourney MVP.

UPDATE 2:30PM - Final USM wins 11-1...Huskies are headed to Division-3 CWS for 2nd straight year!

UPDATE 2:15pm - USM scores 9 runs in the bottom of the 8th, the Huskie lead Endicott 11-1. USM 3 outs from going to the CWS for a second straight year.

UPDATE 1:40PM - USM scores 2 runs in the 6th on Forrest Chadwick and Matt Verrier RBI hits...USM leads Endicott 2-1 in the 7th.

UPDATE 1:15PM - JJ Branch(Endicott) vs Logan Carman(USM) great pitching duel...still 1-0 Endicott after 5 innings...winner goes to the College World Series.

UPDATE 12:50pm - Endicott scores a run in the 2nd inning to take the early 1-0 lead.
