Former UMaine goalie Ben Bishop is one of three NHL goalies up for the Vezina Trophy, the NHL's top goalie award, tonight in Las Vegas.

This is the second straight year the Tampa Bay goalie has been a finalist. He host out to Montreal's Carey Price a year ago.

This time the competition is Washington's Braden Holtby and LA's Jonathan Quick.

Bishop met the press in Vegas and talked about awards night and his future in Tampa Bay. His contract expires at the end of next season and the Lightning have young goalie Andrei Vasilevsky waiting in the wings. GM Steve Yzerman admits a decision on keeping one goalie and perhaps moving another will have to be made in the future.

NOTE: Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron is a finalist for the Selke Trophy - the NHL's best defensive foward...Bruins winger Loui Eriksson is a finalist for the Lady Byng Trophy - the NHL player who best combines playing ability and gentlemanly conduct.
