The Bangor Rams have lost two games this spring and both are to the Oxford Hills Vikings. Saturday it was a 5-0 win for the Vikes in the Kennebec Valley Athletics Conference (KVAC) Class A championship game at Mansfield Stadium.

Oxford Hills beat the Rams 8-5 back in early May in the only meeting of the regular season.

With Bangor seeded #1 and the Vikings seeded #2, could this thing be headed to a third meeting for the Class A North Region title in two weeks?

Bangor's Carson Prouty and Oxford Hills Colton Carson were locked into a pitcher's duel for five innings. The Vikes scored five runs late off relief pitcher Nick Canaar with the help of Rams fielding errors.

Janek Lukska relieved Carson for the final three innings.

NOTE: The Rams host #8 Messalonskee in the quarterfinal round. That game has been moved from Thursday to Wednesday afternoon at 4:15pm...Oxford Hills hosts #7 seed Skowhegan in the quarterfinal.
