Lindsey Vonn is perhaps the best know ski racer ever and this week Vonn competes at Sugarloaf in Maine in the U.S. Alpine Championships.

Vonn and fellow olympian Mikaela Shiffrin headline the U.S. Ski Team list of racers. Many up-and-comer racers hoping to get a spot of the national team are also competing this week.

Sugarloaf has hosted the national event four times, the last year was 2008.

Thursday, March 26

Women's Giant Slalom

Watch the country's top female ski racers including Mikaela Shiffrin and Lindsey Vonn battle it out in the women's giant slalom on Narrow Gauge.

- First Run Start - 9:30am (Narrow Gauge)

- Second Run Start - 12:30pm (Narrow Gauge)

- Awards Presentation - 2pm (The Beach)

Opening Ceremonies

Join the entire Sugarloaf community as we welcome the nation's best skiers to our mountain. The Opening Ceremonies will feature a live chainsaw carving display by artist Josh Landry, a parade of athletes, speeches by notable members of the Sugarloaf and U.S. Ski Team communities, as well as a spectacular fireworks and pyrotechnic display from Atlas Fireworks.

- Beach Entertainment - 6:30-7pm

- Parade of Athletes - 7pm

- National Anthem - 7:10pm

- Welcoming Remarks - 7:15-7:30pm

- Fireworks Display - 7:30-7:45pm

Autograph Session

7:45-8:30pm
Following the Opening Ceremonies, guests are invited to meet the athletes during a special autograph session located in the Base Lodge. You'll receive a commemorative U.S. Alpine Championships poster that you can use to collect signatures from all of your favorite athletes. (Due to athletes' competition schedules the autograph session will only run for a limited time.)

Friday, March 27

Men's Giant Slalom

Watch the country's top male ski racers including Bode Miller and Ted Ligety battle it out in the men's giant slalom on Narrow Gauge.

Saturday, March 28
