Five local athletes have been nominated for this week's First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week award.

The nominees are Drew Cameron of Presque Isle, Jacalyn Pelletier of Fort Kent, David Wilson of Nokomis, Michaleb Niles of Foxcroft Academy and Sarah Foust of Gardiner.

Drew Cameron of the Presque Isle boys soccer team scored the game-winning goal in the Wildcats' double-overtime win against Freeport in the Class B state title game on Saturday. Cameron's goal with 9:32 to play in the second overtime lifted Presque Isle to it's first state title.

Michaleb Niles of the Foxcroft Academy football team rushed for three touchdowns in the Ponies' 41-0 shutout win against Washington Academy in a Class D North semifinal matchup on Friday. Niles rushed for 120 yards on 18 carries for the Ponies, who will host this weekend's Class D North championship game.

David Wilson of the Nokomis football team came up big for the Warriors in their 13-0 shutout win against top-seeded MCI in the Class C North semifinals. The senior scooped up the ball after a blocked field goal and ran 10 yards for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter, sealing the victory as No. 4 Nokomis upset the defending champion Huskies.

Jacalyn Pelletier of the Fort Kent girls soccer team scored the lone goal in the Warriors's 1-0 shutout win against Maranacook in the Class C state championship game on Saturday. Pelletier's goal from 15 yards out in the first half helped lift Fort Kent to its first state title in girls soccer.

Sarah Foust of the Gardiner field hockey team came up big for the Tigers in their 3-2 win against York in the Class B state championship game. Foust's second-half goal gave Gardiner a 3-1 lead. The Tigers held on to win its first Class B title since 2009.

Voting is restricted to once every 24 hours. Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7.
